Hey everyone. Today I'm sharing a useful trick for those people who have a large collection of music and movies on their PCs but there's not enough space on their phones to store the whole collection.
Only a selected number of songs or movies are stored on their phones or they have to keep deleting the older files to store the newer ones.. Pretty harsh isn't it?
That's why I thought to come up with this trick because I myself is also a music enthusiast and this limitation is troubling me too!
So as the heading says it all, you can remotely access the entertainment center of your PC from your phone by following these steps -
1) Download Gmote App from Google Play Store
2) After that, Download it's server on your PC
3) After starting up the server, you should see the Gmote server icon in the notification area of your Windows taskbar—it looks like a widescreen TV with a remote in front of it. If you right-click this icon you can access the Gmote Server Settings and Help menus.
4) The "Change Media Path" option specifies where Gmote should search for your media files. Configure it according to your needs.
5) After clicking the button labeled “I have installed the Server. Start Gmote!” on the initial Android app splash screen, you’ll see a screen with media control button options for stop, skip back, play, skip forward, pause, mute, volume down and volume up. You’ll also notice options for “Browse” at the top left and a “power” button on the top right. This is used to shut down and exit the Gmote Server player on the PC.
Further, you can also use Gmote as a Touchpad which would control the mouse pointer on your PC.
This is really helpful when your PC or Lappy is far away from you ;)
Through the Gmote "Browse" feature, you can actually browse and play media files on your PC through your Android Device.

Hope this trick would be helpful to some if not all :)
